Hello! Hi! Hey! Excuse my excitement but I've spent most of the past 5 days in bed with a brutal cold. I am delighted to be upright again!
You would think that being ill would give me all sorts of time for reading. Sadly, you'd be wrong. I couldn't do much more than stare at a screen. But before I took to my bed like some sort of romance heroine I did manage to start Notorious RBG by Irin Carmon & Shana Knizhnik. It captivated me from the get-go and I can't wait to get back to it.
I'm never sure what I'll read next but one book recently hit my doorstep that has me thoroughly intrigued. I mean, look at this little piece of gorgeousness!

Margaret the First by Danielle Dutton |
Isn't it glorious? The picture doesn't do it justice but I nearly swooned when I saw the cover. Will it be my next read? Only time will tell.
Aww, sorry you've been sick! Hope you're well enough to return to Notorious RBG soon... that book is at the top of my post-TBR Dare list.
ReplyDeleteGoodness! I hope you're feeling better! I've been quite snotty myself, but I haven't taken to my bed yet. That cover is COMPLETELY gorgeous. Already added it to my TBR.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're starting to feel better! I can never read when I'm sick either, so I'm with you there.

My It's Monday, What Are You Reading
Oh no! I can almost enjoy being sick when it means reading time, but when you're too sick for that, things are really bad. I'm glad you're feeling better now though and I'm excited to hear more about the Notorious RBG :)
ReplyDeleteNow I have this mental image of you flinging yourself down onto a fainting couch with your arm draped gracefully across your head as you wait for your husband to ravish you! LOL!
