Accomplished tasks are in italics
Blog Tweaks
- Update review policy
- Fix search gadget (It can't really be fixed in the way that I hoped, but it's better now)
- Update blogroll (This will be a constant work in progress)
- Cross post reviews on Goodreads/Amazon

Organizing Tasks
- Organize Pinterest (I decided to leave Pinterest alone, for now. I have SO many bookish pins. I don't want to separate them and then lose followers. Would that happen? I don't know.)
- Organize Twitter (Another constant work in progress)
- Organize Bloglovin' (Sigh. Still working on this one)
- Organize Goodreads (I've whittled my friends list down to 200. I like Goodreads better when it feels intimate.)
- Facebook research (Facebook has changed their algorithm and my posts don't reach nearly as far as they used to. There doesn't seem to be a way around it. They want you to pay to advertise your posts and that's that. Tanya shared a great post about this topic.)
Community
- Visit and comment on blogs
- Meet new-to-me bloggers
- Attend Twitter chat (I missed the chat. Boo! Did I miss any great info? Tell me in the comments!)
Extras
- Complete mini-challenge (Completed one, played around with the others)
- Write reviews! (I didn't write as many as I had hoped)
Here's to a successful Mini Bloggiesta!
Did you participate? Did you accomplish most of the things you wanted to? Do you have that one blog chore that is particularly annoying?

It sounds like Bloggiesta was a productive one for you! I totally know how endless tasks like Bloglovin can feel...sometimes I wonder if it will ever feel organized. Glad to hear you checked so many things off the list!
ReplyDeleteBloglovin' is the devil to me right now ;) At one point I thought I could follow every book blog in the world. Nope!
DeleteGood job! I know how big a deal it is to organize Bloglovin, as I did that a few weeks ago! But doesn't it feel good to have it done? And all the other tasks? Congrats...and thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's great to get some of these things done! It's a weight off our shoulders :)
DeleteMy Bloggiesta was a success as well. It's amazing how as much as i like blogging there are so many little tasks that I dread and put off. Since this was my first Bloggiesta, i'm going back into the archives and working on at least one other small challenge every week.
ReplyDeleteThat's a really good idea! I look forward to the main bloggiesta as well as the mini. First of all, I always learn something new :)
DeleteAwesome! It looks like you had a wonderfully successful weekend!
ReplyDeleteI did, I did! :D
DeleteI always miss out on Bloggiesta when it happens -- I really need to pay better attention because it's all 'housekeeping' I really need to do!
ReplyDeleteI started following the Bloggiesta site on Bloglovin' so I wouldn't miss it ;)
DeleteI need to do that. Except I can't keep up with all the blogs I follow as it is!
DeleteInteresting link from Tanya. Thanks for sharing it. Good ideas! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI was so glad that she shared that article. Good info! :D Thanks, Pat! Same to you
DeleteIt's always a growing process on the blog, isn't it? I'm thinking I'm going to not post my blog to my personal Facebook anymore. I'm trying to think that through.
ReplyDeleteIt definitely is.
DeleteI rarely post my blog things on my personal FB page. I use my dedicated blog FB page for that :) Maybe you should consider making one of those?
Looks like a good Bloggiesta! A lot of serious bloggers have turned to Google Plus because Facebook Pages aren't getting the traction that they used to. Here's an article on that: http://midlifeboulevard.com/google-can-help-bloggers-increase-reach-readers-relationships/
ReplyDeleteJoy's Book Blog
Oh, thanks for sharing that article, Joy! I'm going to go check it out right now :)
DeleteYay you! Good job on accomplishing so many tasks! I completed both of mine, so I'm happy with the results.
ReplyDeleteThanks! :D Good for you, Melissa!
DeleteYou did really well! I didn't do any of the writing- or book-related stuff on my list, just the techie and the social! I'm wondering if Google+ is going to start gaining on Facebook now, too. I'll have to check out the article.
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling that it will. I don't like it as much, but that's probably just because I'm not used to it? Time to start using it more!
DeleteDude, I'm so impressed at what you've managed! I tip my hat to you!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I was a busy little bee this weekend :D
DeleteYou WERE a busy bee! I love using Bloggiesta to do all those things I dread doing. :)
ReplyDeleteDitto, April! Sometimes I'll put things off knowing that Bloggiesta will be arriving soon ;)
DeleteWoooo, good job lady!
ReplyDeleteThank you, thank you! :::Bowing:::
DeleteI didn't participate in Bloggiesta, but I think I might use some of the mini-challenges in the next month or two. There are so many great ideas here!
ReplyDeleteI like that Bloggiesta has its own site now. You can go there whenever you want to check out the challenges :D
DeleteYou did great!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Andi :D
DeleteYou did great! I've been reading up on the new FB algorithm too, and I'm not seeing anything that can help me. So my main focus is Twitter :)
ReplyDeleteYou did all that in a weekend? You go, girl!
ReplyDeleteThe FB thing is pretty annoying, but I guess it's just part and parcel of them becoming a publicly-traded company -- they're looking to make money now. Maybe I'll have to rethink Google+ -- but because I work freelance for the publishing industry (in nonfiction, not the fiction I mostly review), there could be a perceived conflict of interest that I avoid by NOT having my real name associated too closely with my blog. And if I do ever go Google+, I need to associate it with my business, not my hobby.
How do you organize Twitter? I'm a real newbie on there, despite having signed up a good 5 months ago or so.
