Day #9: A Book I've Read More Than Once
I'm glad that this is an easy question because I haven't feel very well today. I'm tired and grumpy. Boo.
There are a number of books that I re-read every year or so. The one that I've been thinking about lately:

The Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger |
It must be about time for another go-round with Holden, one of the best narrators of all time.
I'm still to read this book, but it's high on my list. Too many people say it's good to leave too long. Nice to hear it's worth reading more than once!
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely a great book for re-reading ;) I think I get something new out of it each time.
DeleteI've not read this yet. I really wish I had read it as a teenager...
ReplyDeleteI don't remember how old I was the first time I read it, but I know I wasn't a teen. I wish I had read it back then as well!
DeleteSuch a good book and one that deserves to be reread. My to-be-reread list includes The Grapes of Wrath and The Handmaids Tale. i know that wasn't the question, but we're chatting about rereading.
ReplyDeleteAh, I loved The Handmaid's Tale. I'd love to re-read that :)
DeleteI know a lot of people don't like Holden, but I always feel sorry for him. He needs a friend. That's all. Or at least a start. :)
ReplyDeleteIt seems that you either love him or hate him doesn't it? That's what I've gathered anyway. I'm in the love camp..he makes me laugh
DeleteGreat quote! I've thought about re-reading this book, but I haven't gotten around to it. I read it when I was 16 -- I just loved Holden's witty observations.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun challenge! My go-to re-read is To Kill a Mockingbird. About once a year or so.
