RIP VII....Boo!

You should click the link to see the entire post about this event but here are some of the details:

The purpose of R.eaders I.mbibing P.eril VII is to enjoy books and movies/television that could be classified (by you) as:
Mystery.
Suspense.
Thriller.
Dark Fantasy.
Gothic.
Horror.
Supernatural.
Or anything sufficiently moody that shares a kinship with the above.
There are two simple goals for R.eaders I.mbibing P.eril VII
1. Have fun reading.
2. Share that fun with others.
Sounds pretty fun and laid back to me!  There are a few different levels so you don't have to commit yourself to anything too time consuming. You can even sign up to watch a scary movie if that's your thing. (I'm thinking about watching The Exorcist. The first time I watched that was when I was in high school and I ended up sleeping on the floor of my mother's room that night.)

Talk about scary!

  1. I signed up too and have already finished my first book. A romantic suspense that scary enough to count and sexy enough to read at night.

    here's my post

  3. Your story about the Exorcist made me laugh. We were just discussing how my sister always tried to convince my parents that we shouldn't watch scary movies because it would scare our youngest sister. But she was the one who was really getting freaked out!
    Enjoy the RIP challenge. :)

    1. I can look back and laugh now but man oh man I was terrified that night! It's such a disturbing movie! Hearing those vile words come out of a little girl's mouth? Creeeeepy!

      Thanks Lindsey!

  4. Awesome to have you joining in. Yes, I try to keep all the events I host laid back. Its always about the fun of reading good books, sharing them, and meeting new people with like passions.

Not sure what creepy things I'll watch, but I'll definitely work in as many as I can as September rolls into October.

By the way, LOVE your graphic in your blog header. That is very cool.

I'll definitely keep on eye on what you pick to read/watch because you're the guru of such things and I need ideas!

      Thanks much!

  6. I'm such a wimp when it comes to scary movies! I might watch some Walking Dead episodes but I'm not sure what else I will try to watch. I'm tempted to try IT since I'm reading the book but just thinking about it makes me nervous :)

    1. IT...eeeeek! That book! Scary spooky awful and good! The movie was a TV mini-series wasn't it? I wonder if I could find that somewhere...hmmm.

I did request The Night Strangers from my library, thanks for the heads up on that one!
